St. Martin

St. Maarten was one of the islands that were devastated by Hurrican Irma. The utter destruction created a frenzy of panic and disorder. Many residents of the Island was in shock as folks started looting business and private residents which further thrust this island is to a greater state of emergency. Then hurricane Maria created another wave of flooding. Now weeks later and the situation on SXM is still extremely bad.

DONATE TO ST. MARTIN

Lenworth Wilson, of Gifted Foundation

According to Lenworth Wilson, of Gifted Foundation, “While the island is being cleaned up and for some things are getting back to some form of normalcy,  approximately 50% of the residents are still in the same state as they were the day after the hurricane. The number of homelessness is increasing the shelters are closing, and individuals are being thrown into the street.  People are still sleeping in parks and the beaches. Some of the people whose homes are destroyed and have no place to live. Some have remained in their house with makeshift roofs hoping to be able to salvage their possession and to prevent people from taking them. The elderly are being ignored and are living in dangerous conditions. There are not enough relief supplies is being distributed. Many have not received aid and the distribution process is deplorable.”

A Ministry committed to improving the lives of every person on St. Martin
